My time in the HSA academy has been an amazing experience. This is such a great opportunity for anyone to be able to have access to. Each year you spend in the academy you have the ability to learn about different aspects of the body, and the things that you learn turn out to be incredibly applicable to whatever future careers you intend to obtain within the medical field. These medically related classes that you attend in your four years in the HSA academy are basically prerequisite courses for classes that you will eventually have to retake possibly in a pre-medical program in college and you as an academy student at Bayside have more of an advantage than non-health sciences academy students because you will have such a wide range of background information. Whether you are planning to become a medical professional, or deciding on taking another path, then you will still be able to use the knowledge that you've gained if you decide to have children or if your family members or yourself have medical issues down the road. You will most likely have a general sense of what's going on and be able to make an educated decision. Even if you decide against going into the medical field, you will still be able to use the information you've learned and that's more than most people can say.
